As part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen foundational technical skills, a skill development session titled “Skill Development in Lab Instrumentation: Setup & Calibration for ECC Freshers” was conducted on 14th July 2025 for first semester B.Sc. Electronics and Computer Science (ECC) students.
The session was handled by Mr. Suresh, an expert in lab instrumentation and electronics hardware. During the two-hour workshop, students received hands-on training in the setup, operation, and calibration of core lab equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters. Mr. Suresh explained the underlying principles of each device and demonstrated proper handling techniques, emphasizing both safety and precision.

Students actively engaged in operating the instruments under guidance, learning how to perform basic signal measurements, frequency and amplitude checks, and equipment troubleshooting. The interactive format helped build their confidence and ensured conceptual clarity.
This foundational session not only equipped students with essential technical know-how for their upcoming laboratory experiments, but also instilled a disciplined and professional approach to working in electronics labs. The program served as a successful orientation into the practical aspects of the subject, aligning with the broader goal of preparing students for a skill-based, innovation-driven academic journey.
